Value Statement

We value getting things done through commitment rather than control. We are committed to fostering a sense of assurance and equality. The GHLA welcomes all personalities and attempts to meet the needs of all.

"But personally I find myself praising those that criticize, for I take it as a demonstration that the criticism is a result of caring about that which is important." - Robert Elkins

G - Goodness - we believe in the inherent goodness of every person involved in the Global Hearing Loss Alliance, and that everyone is worthy of being helped by his or her peers who consider themselves a part of this alliance.
H - Happiness - we believe that every person who comes to GHLA has the right to be happy with who they are, no matter what their circumstances or challenges.
L - Longevity - we believe that there is a need to focus on good health that will allow us to live long and productive lives, so that even in our elder years we will be happy and productive.
A - Accessibility - we believe in accessibility for all, with a special focus on those who are hard of hearing, deaf, and those who have other special challenges. We are all equal and we all need each other.
